HOW COMPUTER WORKS
It is interesting to know what is inside a computer a computer . Let us know then internal parts of a computer.

1. Microprocessor :
You must have heard about Intel Pentium 4, Dual Core , i5 , i7 processors. These are called microprocessors. Microprocessor is the brain of the computer, where actual processing is done.
2. Power supply :
This unit takes Alternating Current (AC) which is available in electric points, and converts it into various volts of Direct Current (DC) on which electronic goods run.
3. Modem :
Modem is a device that converts computer' s Digits data into Analog data which can travel through telephone lines. It is used to connect the computer to the internet.
4. Memory :
Memory is used to store every information of data given to a to computer . The main memory of the computer is know as RAM. It is fixed on the motherboard and keeps the information on hold until the computer is switched OFF.
Hard disk is a permanent storage medium. It has a big capacity . The information which you want it use frequently or in future can be stored in the Hard Disk.
6. Motherboard :
Motherboard is the main electronic circuit-board on which all the components and parts of a computer are fixed or connected. The microprocessor and the memory are placed on the Motherboard.

👉The Rear Panel :
The rear panel of the system unit is very important . All the connectors of the peripheral device are connected on this panel . Let us identify the ports of this panel to understand which connector is connected on which port .

4. Mouse
5. Printer /Scanner (old type)
6. Speakers and microphone
7. USB port to connect pen drive and other devices , like printer, scanner , web cam etc.
8. Telephone line for internet

2. Processing (P)
3. Output (O)
Input is given through an Input device , like Keyboard .
Processing is done in a system Unit called CPU.
Output is provided by the computer using an Output device, like Monitor.
